President Nana Akufo Addo is scheduled to announce a two weeks lockdown in some part of Ghana at 11pm tonight.
The announcement was initially expected to be made at 9pm.
The lockdown is response to the coronavirus disease.
With the announcement, residents across major parts of Ghana are left with just two days β Saturday and Sunday β to stock up food items ahead of a two weeks lockdown due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
The lockdown, sources at the Presidency told this portal, will begin midnight on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
Police are expected to be deployed at barricades and access to essential services suspended.
The areas to be affected are Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Obuasi where cases of the COVID-19 had been recorded.
According to the sources, a meeting finalizing the lockdown was held this afternoon at the Jubilee House where key ministers overseeing the exercise attended.
The selective lockdown takes off at midnight Sunday for two weeks.
The action, the sources said was settled on following the disturbing spread of the deadly virus especially among arrivals and gradually spreading to communities.
So far four people are said to have died of the disease and 137 confirmed cases recorded.
The police have already mapped out strategies to curtail movements in the affected areas.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has delivered his fourth national televised address on Friday evening to give updates on governmentβs preemptive strategy as cases of Covid-19 soar.
The address started at 11:00 pm and it outlined governmentβs moves and strategies to deal with the spread of the dreaded pandemic which has now claimed four lives in the country and more than 20,000 worldwide.

“Physical gifts and readable inscriptions of wishes will warm the heart. But cannot be compared to the wishes in white heart.” – Odehye Joshua
February 8th in some years back, was able to give birth to a special, supernatural and a supreme being. I have always lived in wonderland just trying to have a gist to catapult myself to understanding this cosmetic image of 8th February.
I came to the realisation that, the birth our Christ (Jesus) was and still a mystery to all inhabitants of the universe and so, is your birth.
You are a true definition of a woman, a golden heart, supportive, full of humility, God fearing, dedicated and committed, hardworking and above all, loving and caring.
Always wanting and wishing to become a great woman of virtue in this world to educate, motivate and inspire females to take up the challenge of becoming great personalities in life. What else can seek?
Miss Angela Quarshie-Idun, Odehye Joshua celebrates you today! I write this article from my inner being. Filled with joy and happiness.
May God bless you beyond all reasonable doubts and May he prosper and establish the works of your hands. Enjoy your day to the brim as you continue to enjoy the unlimited and unquenchable fragrance of peace and success.
Being asked by his tutor, Mr. Joshua Aggrey to write a story to illustrate the saying, “silence is golden”, Ibrahim Karim managed to migrate into the belly of the expression to understand the exact information and to have just a gist to write an awesome and a wonderful short story.
Enjoy this wonderful piece as he unfolds a “camera open on a scene with suspense and supernatural expression”.
High, high above mountains, hills, rivers and oceans, there we met, a giant town not known by even the rays of the sun. Found by earth and seen by birth, lived a town called, “Meka” literally meaning, “I will say”.
The town was made up of people with okro mouths. But a mighty wizard said with a brave heated heart, “silence is golden”. Other wizards, witches, magicians and wise men have been to and fro of the universe trying to remove the bandage on that akward sore, this they tried for centuries, but were not successful in their quests, as they found no key to unlock the doors to find answers to the puzzle.
An unrespected, poor young woman who knew the true meaning and the true definition of silence, lived on a wooden air-conditioned house on a dirty and chocked gutter, passed on to her from her ancestors, so to her, it was a great inheritance and a treasure. Upon all these, she was well built up with a concrete wall of tolerance, loyalty and respect which she wrapped around her waist.
One day, she experienced an ugly violent fight between two men where one man saved his life by killing his opponent. In reality, he did that to defend himself, captioned, self defense in law. The woman being the only person and a witness to this unforgivable sin, managed to continue resting his fingers in her lips for decades.
The woman was called to give an account and a testimony of what she saw with her raw eyes. Four strong men were brought before her to identify the criminal. The woman instantly identified the culprit but continued to rest her fingers on her lips without vomitting any word. The woman saved the man from being hanged by not admitting the fact that the man is the victim or the culprit. The culprit being a wealthy man, in fact, a man who had the fragrance of riches. After that incidence, the man promised the woman a tree full of riches and caused a renovation in the the life of the woman. The man made the life of the woman a paradise. And the name of this woman is, Vida Akosomo.

When the physically challenged becomes the central point of evil. The society rejects and neglects them just because they are physically challenged. Its a pity to see how the so called “normal people” in the society relate with these people. Just because they lack or don’t have all eyes, all legs, all hands and the like doesn’t make them evil!……
They cry bitterly, and in their hearts, wanting God to take their lives so they can exit from this painful world… They make this statement “ye tesee woa” which literally means, “we are just like you”.
The song comes with a simplified lyrics that really talks about the raised isssue with emotions and love. Its a song that should melt your heart and change your attitude towards the physically challenged after listening.
Let’s join Odehye Joshua as he journey to bring you sacred music and soul reviving songs.

The atmosphere was charged and there was a free flow of the holy spirit…

Wonders will never seize to match like an ablazed gallant military battalion matching to and fro everywhere and across the world.
A 79 years old preacher preaching on a moving train has his head damaged by a woman for JUST preaching the word of God on the train…….
The woman exccessively landed her “long high heel” foot wear on this old preacher’s head…
It was astonishing that none of the passengers were willing to rescue this old preacher. They enjoyed the scene as though they were in a cinema watching a thriller.
The question is, is there any punishment to this act?
The most concerned passenger only took pictures of the scene to send across the globe….
